Depiro McDonald’s won the BOV KO for the second time in their history after easing past rivals Hibs Medsea 48-32 in yesterday’s final. The two teams were, more or less, on a par in the opening two quarters with Depiro taking a one-point lead at half-time, 14-13. At the start of the third session, Depiro began to rotate the ball better than their opponents and opened up a decisive 12-point gap, 34-22, before the last 10 minutes. With Hibs failing to stage a reaction, Depiro easily administered their advantage to run out comfortable winners. Depiro’s Antoinette Borg was the game’s top scorer with 16 points.
