Athleta had lost their aggregate advantage early on in the game, which had them with some anxious moments, even putting in Michael Naudi on court. All came out well in the end for them, as they dominated the rest of the match.
In the other semi-final Siggiewi had to sweat it out till late in the match, as Depiro’s opposition brought about a close, low score encounter, which kept both sides in close contention for a place in the Louis Borg Cup Men final.
Hibs’ opponents in the women K.O. final will be Depiro, who had the better of Luxol in a pulsating semi final, which had the first player expulsion of the season. It wa sDepiro who were in front for most of the time, but the Violets were always close by. The fouls then mounted against Luxol, and they lost a total of four players, which did not help their cause, even though they had gotten closer yet again.
