The final two rounds of the women’s league will decide the play-off qualification issue.

After their victories over Qormi Phoenix and Alyssa Ashley Loyola respectively, Luxol and Depiro McDonald’s will meet in a match that will decide which of the two teams will finish top at the end of the regular season.
Hibs Melita Gardens, winners over Starlites Sports Experience last weekend, are sharing third spot with Loyola on 17 points.

Loyola, dogged by the absence of captain Christine Grima, were no match for the in-form Depiro who were boosted by the return of Sam Brincat.
After taking a five-point lead at the end of the first quarter, 13-8, Depiro remained in control to change ends 28-15 in front. With Loyola unable to react, Depiro pulled clear for a 64-44 victory.

Luxol were never troubled by bottom-placed Qormi. After leading 28-15 at half-time, Luxol over-whelmed their limited opponents in the final two quarters to run out 70-17 winners.

Hibs also found little difficulty to record their sixth victory, beating Starlites 85-31. Alexis Cutajar made her comeback after a long absence and her experience can prove useful for Hibs.
